The Kewtech Loopcheck 106 socket tester provides an easy, cost-effective solution to those looking to check correct outlet wiring and the quality of the earthing.

Using the Loopcheck is extremely simple, with little user interaction required.After placing inside a socket the Loopcheck will immediately start getting to work as it performs a wiring check, any detected faults will then immediately be signaled via red & orange LEDs as well as a warble tone. The position of the LEDs within the device corespond to the polarity of the pins, providing an obvious identifier to where a potential issue is located.

Once a wiring check has been performed and the socket polarity has been determined to be appropriate the tester initiates a test, at mains frequency, to check the quality of the earth loop. The condition of the earth loop return path is then displayed via three differently coloured LEDs.

By touching the left hand touch pad, the Loopcheck 107 is also capable of checking the polarity of the mains supply. The right hand touch pad can be used to generate a measured tripping current, which can be used to check the operation of 30mA RCDs.
