This is the first advanced socket tester that gives a measurement of the earth loop impedance.

This is the only safe solution for socket testing, as other testers can indicate as “safe” a socket with a dangerously high earth resistance.

The Martindale EZ150 was the first socket tester to include measurement of earth loop impedance. Conventional socket testers will only indicate the presence of an earth, however if the socket has a dangerously high earth resistance, they will not be able to identify this. Using the EZ150 gives you the peace of mind that not only is the socket wired correctly, but also the earth resistance is within acceptable levels.

Martindale's T-Safe^TM technology is incorporated into the EZ150, in order to ensure that RCDs will not trip when the loop impedance check is carried out.

Earth loop measurement, and socket faults, are all indicated with bright, long-life LEDs. This unit should be used as an indicator only and not to provide readings for completion of certificates.

Conventional indicators have the weakness that they only tell if the earth is connected, they don’t indicate how safe it is.
